Problem
Interscope Records wanted to increase awareness and promote
a popular artists new video/DVD product by using an
email campaign that would drive e-commerce transactions.
Solution
E-marcom created a Video Email that contained highlights of
the DVD by streaming the content directly to the viewers
email inbox. Features included full video control and a forward
to a friend option that capitalized on the popularity of the
artist and the newness factor of a Video E-mail.
Result
Because the content was dynamic, entertaining and streamed
efficiently to the viewer, the campaign experienced a viral
marketing (forward to a friend rate) that was 120 times higher
than standard. As a result, Interscope Records was able to
reach beyond its own list of potential buyers and into new
markets.
