Problem
Macys had to develop a clever, catchy marketing tool
that would increase traffic to the retail stores for the Back
to School season. On average, a family spends close
to $400 per child on school year clothes.
Solution
The solution was to develop an innovative CD-ROM clothes catalog
with the latest Back to School designs. In addition
to creative rollover features where the user could see the
clothes (and prices), the CD-ROM also contained video and
music clips of up and coming young bands. The CD-ROM was packaged
in a custom-designed mailer and included a $5 gift card to
redeemable in store towards any purchase.
Results
Macys was able to generate over 4% in in-store conversions,
which resulted in a 712% ROI.
