Problem
The University of Louisville was looking to attract high-caliber
candidates for its M.D./Ph.D. program. The problem was twofold
in that they were not attracting enough candidates of the
caliber they were seeking and also they were meeting with
candidates that were ill prepared for the interviews and did
not know enough about the school.
Solution
E-marcom developed a cutting-edge CD-Card that highlighted
the key features of the school including detailed information
about the programs, research areas and even the biographies
and backgrounds of the faculty and advisory board. The CD-Card
also showcased highlights regarding the surrounding community
of Louisville as well as numerous research and health-related
references.
Result
The CD-Cards have been a phenomenal success in attracting
high-caliber candidates and differentiating the campus from
other schools. In addition, the CD-Cards have helped the candidates
who interview. Each prospective candidate receives a CD-Card
prior to their interview and UofL has found that the students
are much better prepared in the interview process. The students
also have a grasp of the program when they interview and the
interviews seem to move quickly into the more in-depth questions
since the informational items have already been answered by
viewing the card.
